Soy wax is a new product based on natural, sustainable raw materials. It is made from 100% pure soya oil. A chemical and physical process hardens the oil, making it possible to make candles from it. Theoretically soy wax can be eaten (it is not officially legally registered as a foodstuff, so please dont rtry it:)).
If used in the right way, soya wax burns to produce a gentle flame and does not give off soot. Used in the right way means, as with any candle, protecting the candle from draughts and using scissors to shorten the wick to a length of approximately 1 cm if necessary.
www.candlecraftcenter.com soy wax has a melting point of 50 degrees
Very good for production of candles in glass containers or such like (diameters from 40 to 60 mm). Melt Just pour the wax into containers, allow to cool, and press in a tabbed or untabbed wick at the right moment. For 50mm diameter, a 3x 15 flat wick is suggested.
